## **Level Guide**

What is the Level Guide?

The Level Guide is a short and quick multiple-choice test that we offer to give you an indication of what level you are at. The idea is to help you start at a convenient level.

I don’t know which level I am at? What score did I get on the Level Guide?

Check your email on a regular basis. Your score and the link to the recommended course for you will be directly sent to your email (the email address you used when registering).

Also, check your spam folder as the email might reach there by mistake.

I feel that my proficiency is different from the level I ended up with. What should I do?

You can always change the level if you feel you need a more challenging one, or a less challenging one. In this case, you do not need to retake the guide.

Can I repeat the Level Guide?

There must be a valid reason for repeating the Level Guide. You are allowed to retake it one time only if your reason is accepted by [open.english@aucegypt.edu](mailto:open.english@aucegypt.edu).

## **Duration**

How long is each course?

Each course should take an average of 4-6 weeks to complete. Each module should take one week to complete. This is a rough estimate, so just work at your pace even if this means that you take a shorter or longer time to complete the level.

Can I continue after one year?

If you remain inactive for one year (12 months), you will be removed from the database, and you will need to reapply.

More information can be found here.

## **Joining AUC**

Can I join AUC as an undergraduate after finishing these courses?

Our courses do not replace the admission requirements of any proficiency language test required as proof of language abilities, such as that of IELTS or TOEFL. If you meet the admission requirements, you may apply and wait for the acceptance letter.
