Semester Fee
The semester fee must be paid every semester by all enrolled students and doctoral candidates as part of enrolment or re-enrolment.
Alongside the regular semester fee, additional tuition fees may apply for international students (not for EU or EEA members) and for second degrees.
The current semester fee is 190.00 Euros per semester, which comprises:

You can transfer the semester fee for enrolment or pay it with your Girocard during opening hours at the Registration Office. Please note that neither credit cards nor cash payments can be accepted.

Please only enter the corresponding semester followed directly by your matriculation number in the purpose of payment field for your transfer. For the summer semester 2026, the semester prefix is 20261, and for the winter semester 2026/27, it is 20262.

Please note: When re-registering by bank transfer, it can take up to 14 days for the re-registration to be noted in the system.
Tuition fees
Since the 2017/18 winter semester, universities in Baden-Württemberg have been charging tuition fees for international students and for second degrees in accordance with the State University Fees Act. Fees are also charged for continuing education and guest studies.
