## Arriving by Train

**From Main Station:**

1. **Main Campus (City Center)**\
   By foot: 5 minutes via Eisenbahnstrasse.\
   By tram: Line 1, 3, or 5 – direction “Bertoldsbrunnen”; get off at “Stadttheater / Universitätszentrum”.
2. **Natural Sciences Campus (Institutsviertel)**\
   By foot: 5 minutes via Stefan-Meier-Strasse.
3. **University Medical Center**\
   By foot: 10 minutes via Breisacher Strasse and Hugstetter Strasse.\
   By tram: Line 5 direction – “Hornusstrasse”; get off at “Robert- Koch- Strasse” or “Friedrich-Ebert-Platz”.
4. **Biology Institutes and the Botanical Gardens**\
   By foot: 20 minutes via Stefan- Meier-Strasse and Rennweg.\
   By tram: Line 1, 3, or 5 – direction “Bertoldsbrunnen”; get off at “Bertoldsbrunnen” and change for tram line 2 (direction “Reutebachgasse”); get off at “Hauptstrasse”.
5. **Dermatological Clinic / Psychiatric Clinics**\
   By foot: 20 minutes via Stefan-Meier-Strasse and Rennweg.\
   By tram: Line 1, 3, or 5 – direction “Bertoldsbrunnen”; get off at “Bertoldsbrunnen” and change for tram line 2 (direction “Reutebachgasse”); get off at “Hauptstrasse”.
6. **Administrative Building (Rektorat)**\
   By foot: 5 minutes via Bismarckallee and Friedrichstrasse – Fahnenbergplatz.
7. **Student Village**\
   By tram: Line 1 – direction “Paduaallee / Landwasser”; get off at “Am Bischofskreuz”.
8. **Institute of Sports and Physical Education / University Stadium**\
   By tram: Line 1 – direction “Littenweiler”; get off at “Emil-Gött-Strasse”, then walk about 5 minutes along Emil-Gött-Strasse and Schwarzwaldstrasse.
9. **Faculty of Engineering / Airfield**\
   With the Breisgau S-Bahn commuter train (direction „Breisach“): Get off at „Neue Messe/Universität“.\
   By tram: Line 4 – direction “Messe”; get off at „Technische Fakultät“.

## Arriving by Car

You can easily reach Freiburg by highway from Basel, Mulhouse, Strasbourg, or Karlsruhe.

1. **Main Campus (City Center)**\
   Exit: “Freiburg Mitte” – then exit “Stadtmitte/Universität”; Werthmannstraße – Rempartstraße; use the parking garage **Uni-Parkhaus**.

2. **Natural Sciences Campus (“Institutsviertel”)**\
   Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – then exit „Hauptbahnhof“ – Schnewlinstrasse – drive by the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) – Stefan-Meier-Strasse; use off-campus parking spaces.
3. **University Medical Center**\
   Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – exit „Universitätskliniken“ – (follow the signs); use parking spaces on Breisacher Strasse.
4. **Biology Institutes and the Botanical Gardens**\
   Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – exit „Hauptbahnhof“ – Schnewlinstrasse – drive by the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) – Stefan-Meier-Strasse – make a right turn onto Rennweg, a left onto Habsburgerstrasse, then another right onto Schänzlestrasse (Biology Institutes and the Botanical Gardens).
5. **Dermatological Clinic / Psychiatric Clinics**\
   Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – exit „Hauptbahnhof“ – Schnewlinstrasse – drive by the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) – Stefan-Meier-Strasse – make a right turn onto Rennweg, a right onto Habsburgerstrasse, then a left onto Hauptstrasse (clinics); use the parking spaces near the institute or clinic.
6. **Administrative Building (Rektorat)**\
   Exit: “Freiburg Mitte” – exit “Hauptbahnhof” – Schnewlinstrasse, drive by the main train station, make a right turn onto Friedrichstrasse – Fahnenbergplatz, parking spaces next to the Administrative Building.
7. **Student Village**\
   Exit: “Freiburg Mitte” – exit “Lehen / Universitätskliniken” – after about 2 km make a left turn onto Sundgauallee; parking spaces in the Student Village.
8. **Institute of Sports and Physical Education / University Stadium**\
   Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – drive about 10 km on the Schwarzwaldstrasse in the direction of “Donaueschingen”; parking spaces: Sandfangweg.
9. **Faculty of Engineering / Airfield**\
   Highway Exit: „Freiburg Mitte“ – Exit „Messe Freiburg“

## Arriving by Airplane

Approx. 1 hour bus ride from the **EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg**; 2 to 3 hours by train or car from Strasbourg, Stuttgart, or Frankfurt airports.

## Train Connections between Freiburg and the EUCOR Universities

1. **Freiburg – Mulhouse** \
   By bus: two connections daily: duration 1 hour 20 minutes (Information: **SBG-Südbadenbus**, Tel.: +49 761 36172, Mon-Fri 7:30 am – 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm).

2. **Freiburg – Basel** \
   By train: good connections, at least one train per hour at any time of day; duration: 35 minutes (IC/EC) or about 50 minutes (E/D-Zug).\
