Hi, my name is Marzieh and I’m an alumnus of the EngD programme Energy & Process Technology.

My project

"For the development of tires, extensive road tests are necessary. Up to date, there is no lab method and equipment to measure dry grip with a satisfying correlation with road vehicle tire performance. The goal of this project is to design equipment and a method for measuring dry grip, starting from the LAT100 (Laboratory Abrasion Tester) machine, which is commonly used for measuring abrasion and wet grip."

“The main reason I chose the EngD was to gain tangible, practical experience in industry.”

A tangible and practical experience within the industry

"The main reason for choosing an EngD programme was having a tangible and practical experience within the industry in addition to considering the theories behind it. The University of Twente is an international university which gave me a chance to meet international people in my field during this programme. I would absolutely recommend this two-year programme for MSc graduates who are interested in taking one step further in their educational status and directly getting involved with industries after their graduation.”

After graduation

Marzieh graduated in 2017. After her EngD, she continued her work at the University of Twente for a PhD.
