Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP)
CEP provides outreach and engagement with K-14 students, families, and educators to increase access to higher education. We believe no student should be denied the opportunity to pursue a college degree due to systemic, economic, or social barriers. Our ten CEP programs provide direct service to students and families, professional development for educators and community partners, and engage with K-12 schools/districts, community colleges, and other higher education partners in systemic work to create opportunities for students. This multi-faceted approach is the heart of our work.

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new PBS documentary series, The Class, that shines a powerful spotlight on UC Berkeley’s Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC)/Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)—part of the Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP)—and one of our outstanding College Advisers, Cameron Schmidt-Temple! This six-episode documentary offers an intimate look at the impact of our college access efforts by following six students at Deer Valley High School who were supported by Cameron during the height of the pandemic. The Class is a moving testament to the heart of our DCAC/EAOP model and the meaningful relationships our advisers build with students every day.
