On Saturday, October 25, 2025, two of the Bay Area’s most impactful college access events — the UC Berkeley Showcase and College Information Day — are coming together for the first time to launch a powerful new experience: College Information Day at UC Berkeley.

Co-hosted by UC Berkeley and the [East Bay Consortium](https://eastbayconsortium.org/), this fall open house invites middle school, high school, and college transfer students, their families, counselors, and community partners to campus for a comprehensive and inspiring introduction to college planning, admissions, and student life.

With an emphasis on access and college readiness, the event features:

- Interactive campus walking tours
- Faculty- and staff-led sessions
- Student performances and panels
- Dedicated family workshops

Together, we aim to equip students with the information, support, and inspiration they need to confidently pursue higher education.

  Meet representatives from the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems, as well as private and out-of-state universities. Learn about academic programs, admission requirements, campus life, and scholarship opportunities—all in one place.
- 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. UC Berkeley Resource Fair

  Explore UC Berkeley’s academic departments and organizations, campus resources, and additional opportunities that await at UC Berkeley.
- 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cash for College

  Get step-by-step support with your financial aid application! This workshop is designed for high school seniors and community college students who want guidance in completing their application with confidence.
- 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Campus Tours

  Discover UC Berkeley through a one-hour walking tour of campus with a student ambassador. Learn about UC Berkeley’s history, academics, student life, and more!

- 10 - 11:15 a.m. Breakout Session #1

  Learn the essentials of preparing and applying for college through workshops focused on admissions, financial aid, transfer pathways, and student success.
- 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Campus Welcome & Performances

  Enjoy a high-energy midday rally with student performances, spirit groups, and campus leaders. Get energized and inspired for the exciting sessions, tours, and activities still ahead.
- 12:30 - 1 p.m. Lunch

  Take a break and grab lunch at one of the on-campus cafés or explore the many dining options in downtown Berkeley before heading to your afternoon sessions.
- 1 - 2:15 p.m. Breakout Session #2

  Attend interactive sessions covering topics like navigating the college application process, understanding financial aid, and exploring academic and career opportunities.
- 2:30 - 3:45 p.m. Breakout Session #3
