## What’s Changed?

- As of October 30, 2023 incoming faculty, staff, and eligible affiliates who intend to use Microsoft 365 apps will need to request a license. Current faculty and staff who have used Microsoft office programs within the last 14 months are not affected.
- Registered students do not need to claim a license as they are automatically provisioned one when eligible.

## What do I need to do?

- October 30, 2023 - New faculty, staff, and eligible affiliates can begin requesting Microsoft 365 Apps license for use this academic year by filling out the license request form that will be available on the [Microsoft 365 Apps software webpage](https://software.berkeley.edu/microsoft-365-apps-enterprise)
- If you have used Microsoft Office apps since August 2022 or are a registered student, no action needs to be taken.

## Who can I contact for help?
