Throughout the year, the BSP partners with its members to host community events and workshops for the current members, alumni and community. Members are highly encouraged to share their ideas for new community events with BSP staff.

BSP Hosted Events

Below are some of the events BSP hosts to build and maintain community. BSP members receive emails on how to get involved and updates for each event.

All Student Meeting (ASM)

Every year, the BSP hosts the All Student Meeting, a program-wide gathering where staff and current and new BSP members come together to build community, connect, and learn from one another.

Student Advisory Meetings (SAMs)

The BSP holds regular Student Advisory Meetings during the academic year to check in with members and get their input and feedback on BSP programming.

End of Semester Reception

A social event for the BSP community to celebrate the graduating seniors and visit with one another. It is usually combined with an opportunity-sharing event, like a resource exchange fair with invited campus partners.

BSP Graduation

The BSP hosts an annual celebration for all BSP members, families, and friends to celebrate our graduates and their accomplishments.

BSP Workshops

The BSP offers a wide variety of workshops for members, alumni, and interested community partners. Below are a few examples of recent member workshops:

BSP members and alumni at the Spring 2020 All Student Meeting (ASM) took time for a group photo after the healthcare career pathway community circle. Members interested in healthcare fields attended a panel discussion and Q & A featuring BSP alumni currently in healthcare professions.

BSP Director & Co-Founder Dr. John Matsui (left) and graduating BSP member Nina Huynh (Class of 2016, Integrative Biology) at the 2016 BSP Graduation celebration.
