UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Studying education as an undergraduate academic discipline here at the Berkeley School of Education is an interdisciplinary endeavor that strives to advance understanding of how people learn and how to design learning environments, supportive policy, and community contexts in which such learning can successfully unfold. We know that education not only happens in schools and higher education, but also includes myriad forms of learning across contexts and the life span. Educational Sciences explores the field of education via academic inquiry and direct engagement with schools, families, and local and global communities.
We offer a Bachelor of Science in Educational Sciences, and a minor in Education. For students not enrolled at Berkeley, we offer a non-degree certificate in Education during the summer called Educating for the 21st Century.
