If you are a current transfer student applicant, check out the 5 steps below. (Note: You will receive an email in January indicating we have received your application and that you may log in to the student portal.)

- 1. Check your application’s progress online

  add

Check your application’s progress online via the student application portal [MAP@Berkeley](https://apply.berkeley.edu/status).
- 2. Complete forms on two websites

  add

Complete two forms, one for UC Berkeley and one for the University of California. The form for UC Berkeley will be listed in your campus application portal ([MAP@Berkeley](https://apply.berkeley.edu/status)) under "forms" starting in January. You'll receive an email notification. For information on the second form for the University of California, please visit the [Transfer Academic Update](https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/applying-as-a-transfer/after-you-apply/transfer-academic-update.html) website.

Transfer applicants to the following majors (except for the College of Letters and Science and the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society) will need to fill out a ‘major prerequisite’ form. Those applying to majors in either the College of Letters and Science or the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society should check [ASSIST](https://assist.org/) and the [Berkeley Academic Guide](http://guide.berkeley.edu) to ensure they have the major prerequisites.
