Underage Students

If you are still underage at the time of your application or enrollment at university, there are some things to keep in mind.
Important note:
The information provided here only applies to degree programs with restricted admission by location (not to Human Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy!)
Application
If you will still be underage at the start of the lecture period1, have your primary residence at your parents’ home and this home is located in a district or district-free city allocated to Bonn, you may fall under the special admission quota for underage students and thus benefit from preferential admission to your degree program – provided you were not admitted as part of another quota. Details are specified in the NRW Ordinance on the Allocation of Study Places2.

Enrollment
Upon enrollment, underage students are granted the right to take any administrative action related to their studies on their own authority, including the use of University media and offerings. Enrollment requires consent of legal guardians.
