How can the transition to more environmentally, socially, and economically responsible production be achieved across all stages of the agricultural and food value chains? Monika Hartmann, who has been appointed to the Bioeconomy Council of North Rhine-Westphalia, is investigating this question together with her team. Among other things, she is examining the acceptance and perception of bio-based innovations—because new products and processes can only have an impact if they are actually used by the relevant stakeholders.
