We make evidence-based academic contributions that help our modern, complex and changing society meet the global challenges of the 21st century.

Mission

Located in Germany’s United Nations City and in the cradle of our free and democratic state, we continually strive for excellence in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer, thereby strengthening our position as a leading European university and one of the world’s top academic institutions. We generate and disseminate knowledge, driving technological and societal innovation by empowering our members at all career levels.

Central to our mission is the support of the next generations, inspiring and fostering young talent and emerging leaders who play a vital role in safeguarding our democracy and shaping a future of progress, prosperity, and sustainable transformation in a digital and globally connected world.
