- Free apples from orchards as part of the week-long nationwide “Too good to go to waste” campaign at the Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES)8

- Food rescue at the INRES Institute with free apples from the meadow orchards in the department's garden and organic potatoes from the university's own organic farm "Wiesengut."
- GreenScreen3, the cinema focused on sustainability at the Brotfabrik in Bonn-Beuel; the initiators were Prof. Dr. Eva Nöthen and Gabriel Bohn with the film 'The Salt of the Earth'
- Scythe training at the INRES Institute.
- Preparing the first-ever sustainable goody bags to welcome first-semester students

„Sustainable September“ 2021 premiered as the first sustainable themed month at the University of Bonn – and there are many more to come! Students, employees, researchers as well as lecturers participated with great commitment, working towards more sustainability in our university and everday-lifes.
