A Message from the CRDSSA President
Hi Students!
The Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies Students' Association (CRDSSA) is a student-led club dedicated to advocacy, collaboration, and unity. Our goal is to support students by making sure their voices are heard and met, whether that's through faculty meetings, creating spaces to connect with peers, or sharing resources and opportunities that strengthen academic growth.
The CRDSSA hosts a variety of events, including our Fall and Winter bake sales, HSSA x CRDSSA Gala, annual disability research conference, and fun social media competitions. We're also excited to highlight our new BCR scholarship, which recognizes and supports students completing their senior-level practicum in the upcoming year. Looking ahead, we are also planning social events and activities for students to build connections outside the classroom.

CRDSSA Information
BCR Scholarship
- Funded by the Students' Union Quality Money initiative, this scholarship aims to recognize the commitment of students in the BCR program and provide them with financial support as they complete their senior-level practicum. 4 scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to students completing their senior-level practicum in the upcoming academic year.For further inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Upcoming Events
- Bake sales: each semester, we partner with local bakeries to fundraise for all our events.\
- Annual HSSA X CRDSSA Gala: Each year, the CRDSSA partners with the Health and Society Students Association (HSSA) to host a winter gala! A night full of games, performances, and awards, with food and drinks provided.\
- Annual Disability Research Conference: A day to recognize the hard work of students in the field of disability studies. All students are encouraged to submit their work, whether it's formal or informal research. This is a great and unique networking opportunity to connect with community members, alumni, faculty, and other students. \
- Social events: This year, we will be hosting social events for students to connect, meet the execs, and have fun! More details are to come as this is the first year we're doing it.
