At the Schulich School of Engineering, we offer a wide range of accredited programs designed to help you reach your potential. Our graduates become doctors, inventors, entrepreneurs, CEOs and even astronauts. Find out where an engineering degree can take you!
Foundation year
Benefit from our common first-year and experience a variety of disciplines before selecting a major.
Programs
Apply for one of our seven majors at the end of your first year to complete your degree.
Minors
Expand your career potential with an optional minor, completed with your major.
There’re so many clubs within engineering. You can get involved in racing, or building a rocket or being part of a student advocacy group…. Also, many students graduate with a job offer in their hands. That’s something great to consider.

Our Engineering Career Centre can help you meet employers at industry events, learn how to build the best resume or prepare for an interview, and assist you in getting paid work experience through our internship program.
Financial support
UCalgary engineering students earned $4.4 million in scholarships and bursaries in 2018. We offer several significant awards that are only available to our engineering students. Some require specific applications.
