Centre for Mindfulness
Weekly drop-in mindfulness sessions are provided on Zoom.

Living Library
Living Library is an informal library of non-technical books that we hope will appeal to CSM students, residents and faculty. Come by SAWH to borrow or donate a book.
Safer Substance Use
At the Foothills campus, you can find Fentanyl testing strips and Naloxone kits in the SAWH office at HSC G740.
Menstrual Products
Menstrual products (regular pads, 'super' pads and regular tampons) can be found in the SAWH office at HSC G740, as well as in the bathrooms across Foothills campus.
Menstrual products are re-stocked every Monday, so if you come across an empty basket in one of the washrooms, please feel free to bring it to our office (HSC G740) for refill, or you may just bring the empty basket to our attention. Thank you!
*We now have REUSABLE menstrual products at the SAWH office! Drop in and ask about our DIVA Cups and 'Reusable Period Underwear' (in 5 different sizes).
Sexual Health Products
Free condoms, dams, and female condoms can be found at the SAWH office in HSC G740. Provided to SAWH by SafeLink Alberta.
Headversity
Headversity is the industry’s first preventative assistance platform (PRE.A.P.), offering proactive and digital mental health training experiences for the entire workforce.
SAWH Well-Being Initiatives Event Fund
The purpose of the SAWH Event Fund is to support student-led events that uphold our commitment to promoting mental health and well-being. Please email md.studentaffairs@ucalgary.ca for further details.
Therapy Animals
SAWH has partnered with volunteer programs to have therapy dogs and cats visit the office.

CSM Peer to Peer Program
A non-judgemental and confidential space for CSM students to drop in and talk with a trained peer. Please drop in to HSC G740 every Thursday (12:30-1:30pm).

Mental Health and Wellness Resources
Kinetix Fitness & Wellness Centre
The Kinetix Fitness Centre is a 5,000-square-foot facility located on the first floor of the Cal Wenzel Precision Health (CWPH) Building on the Foothills Medical Centre site.
Precision Equity and Social Justice Office (PESJO)
The Office of Precision Equity and Social Justice leads and supports the CSM in EDIA literacy initiatives, pathways and processes.
Multi-faith Space
There are 2 drop-in multi-faith rooms at the Foothills campus that can also be used for prayer, reflection, meditation, and other faith-based activities: rooms HSC 1002 and HSC 1004.
Neurodiversity Support Advising
At Student Wellness Services at the main campus, Neurodiversity Support Advisors provide wellness support for students and those who are exploring their identity around neurodiversity.
Foothills Campus Community Pantry
The Foothills campus community pantry of nonperishable food and essentials is a grassroots initiative designed to help address a need.
Gender Neutral Bathrooms
The Foothills campus has a number of gender neutral and accessible washroom facilities. Some also have baby change stations.
Lockable Lactation Space
Lockable lactation space located within the student lounge (G730) with a sink, fridge and microwave and comfy seating - open to staff, faculty, and learners.
Food Insecurity and Campus Resources
To address food insecurity, you can use different resources available on campus, many of which are free or available at a low cost. By accessing healthy food resources, you provide your body and mind with the fuel they need to function optimally, which positively impacts your academic performance and overall health.
