Education for Board Directors
The Haskayne School of Business delivers two Directors Education Programs (DEP) jointly developed by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
The ICD is the only professional organization representing the director community in Canada. It is committed to the universal practice of good corporate governance by fostering excellence in directorship.
Directors Education Program (DEP)
This program is the gold standard for directors’ education in Canada and is a necessary step toward receiving ICD accreditation as a certified corporate director. It is held in four three-day modules and is designed for experienced board directors.
Enhancing Private Equity Governance: Beyond a Good Idea
This unique program brings together entrepreneurs and high-potential ventures from across a broad spectrum of industries with seasoned advisors who have governance expertise and entrepreneurial experience. This pairing ensures a mutually beneficial learning experience and long term relationships that support the ultimate success of start-ups.
Custom Governance Education
Over the last decade of delivering outstanding Board Governance education, we have accumulated expertise in providing customized development to executive teams and/or boards. Such specific education has proven to facilitate better working within the board and between the board and the executive.
