### Areas of Research

**Dynamics of locomotion**\
We use optimization models to generate hypotheses about the control of locomotion (humans and animals). We then test those hypotheses against empirical behaviour. When we identify a successful hypothesis, the model is probed post hoc to identify the determining influences that make that solution dynamically optimum.
