MDCV Affiliations
The Libin Cardiovascular Institute is a joint entity of Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary. The majority of our faculty members and students are affiliated with this institute, as is the student-led group LCITO.

MDCV Awards - Application Forms
First Author Award
This award has been created in recognition of research achievements made by MDCV graduate students. Students may receive up to one award per calendar year. Award value is $250.

Travel Award
Travel reimbursements may be provided pending budgetary obligations and availability of funds. Students must be presenting (either an abstract, poster, or speaking presentation) in order to be considered.
Training Award
Up to $1000 in funds may be available to students attending a training workshop or to work in a collaborator's lab outside of Calgary. An expense sheet should be submitted outlining the student incurred expenses (receipts not required). Expenses covered by the supervisor are not eligible for reimbursement.

MDCV Awards - Program Nominated
Osten-Victor Graduate Scholarship in Cardiology
This award is valued at $5000. The recipient is selected by the graduate program who will then forward the nomination to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for their consideration. Internal Deadline: December 1
MDCV Graduate Student Support
MDCV has some program funding available that will be allocated to students each year. The awards will take into consideration the student's grade point average (GPA), research achievements, progress in program, and the entire amount of financial support received. No action is required from students.
