Qatar University announced the launch of the Qatar University Student Support Fund after obtaining an official license from the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities. This fund serves as a dedicated platform for receiving financial support from institutions and individuals to support undergraduate students facing financial difficulties that may hinder their academic progress. The fund provides several types of financial assistance, including partial payment of tuition fees, partial coverage of university housing fees, and lending laptops to eligible students.

The Fund Mechanism:

The procedures for receiving and utilizing financial support to assist eligible students are summarized as follows:

• The donor completes all required steps to provide financial support through one of the following methods:

• Direct support via the "Fawran" instant payment service to the fund’s bank account.

• Direct bank transfer from the donor’s account to the fund’s account.
• Electronic contributions via the online Support platform.

• Donations via POS Devices available at the section’s offices.

• After completing the financial support process, the donor receives confirmation of the successful transaction.

• The Student Financial Services Section at Qatar University reviews financial aid applications related to tuition, housing, and laptop lending. It then prepares lists of eligible students and submits recommendations to the Financial Aid Committee regarding the proposed support percentages.
• Upon receiving approval, the Student Financial Services Section informs students of the decisions and completes payment procedures in coordination with the relevant university departments, using the available funds available at the designated bank account.

Donation Methods:

1. Donation via Fawran Instant Payment Service:

2. Access the Fawran service through the donor’s bank application.

3. Select beneficiary type: Company.
4. Choose IBAN as the To Alias Type.
5. Enter the fund’s account number in the To Alias field: QA59QNBA000000000013057523052
6. Click Verify to ensure the beneficiary name appears as: QU STUDENTS SUPPORT FUND.
7. Enter the donation amount.
8. Select the transfer reason: "Charity/Donations" or choose "Other" and state that it is a donation to the Qatar University Student Support Fund.
9. Click Submit.

Note:The donation amount will be transferred directly to the fund’s bank account and used to support financially struggling students.
