Academic advising plays an essential role in the success of students at Qatar University by assisting them in understanding their study plans and major requirements, as well as helping them choose the right courses each semester according to their study plan. Additionally, it helps students in understanding university policies and directs them to benefit from all the various resources and services provided by Qatar University.

The Academic Advising team provides support to all students at Qatar University, paying particular attention to those facing academic difficulties. We aim to identify the factors contributing to students' academic challenges and develop appropriate solutions to return them to the correct academic track, helping them overcome all obstacles until they reach the graduation stage.

We encourage all students to visit their academic advisors each semester to ensure they receive the right academic guidance. The CSIS Academic Advising Section provides the service of pre-booking an appointment with the academic advisor at a time specified by the student using the Appointment Manager program. Moreover, students can select the type of session, whether face-to-face (in the office) or online.
