QTTSC announced winners of ambassadors program 2020
Qatar Transportation and Traffic Safety Center (QTTSC) named the winners of Traffic Safety Ambassadors Program which was running in coordination with Ministry of Interior and the National Committee for Traffic Safety recently. Initiative which is supported by QAPCO aimed at raising the school students and community awareness of the importance of traffic safety to spread safe driving behaviours.\ First place went to Qatar Science and Technology secondary School for boys, and second place went to Ahmed bin Hanbal School for Boys, for boys schools.\ Regarding girls schools Dukhan School for girls took first place, while Aisha Bent Abi Baker school was awarded the second for girls schools.\ Ambassadors were guided on road safety and awareness campaigns by QU and General Directorate of Traffic staff members.\ Present at the event, was QTTSC director Dr. Mohammed Yousef AlQaradawi, Colonel Mohammed Radi Al-Hajri Director of Media and Traffic Awareness department at General Directorate of Traffic, besides National Committee of Traffic Safety representatives, as well as CENG faculty, staff, and Students and their mentors were also present.\ Commenting on the event, Colonel Mohammed Radi Al-Hajri said “Through this initiative, General Directorate of Traffic is encouraging the secondary schools students to be a part of the traffic safety awareness program to play a vital role in spreading this culture within the community, and schools to find solutions to traffic safety challenges”.\ QTTSC Director Dr Mohammed AlQaradawi said “QTTSC team is pleased today to involve secondary school students in this initiative that is jointly run in coordination with center partners for the benefit of all stakeholders who are committed to support QTTSC events targeting community, schools through campaigns, initiatives and public events”.
