Early Conditional Admission for Qatari Students
What is Early Conditional Admission?
Early Conditional Admission is the provisional admission of candidates based on academic performances and their academic achievements.
Who is eligible for Early Conditional Admission?
All Qatari citizens, Qatari Citizen’s child, Qatari Travel document holders or wives of Qatari husbands who met the requirement for early conditional admission whether still in high school or those who had previously completed their high school degree.
What are the benefits of Early Conditional Admission?
- Students receiving early conditional admission will be placed into their first college preference.
- Early registration for courses.
- 50% discount in fees for placement tests for admitted students to colleges that require the foundation program.
Admission Requirements for Students who are still in high school
Applicant should be Qatari citizen, Qatari citizen’s child, holder of a Qatari Travel document, or wives of Qatari husbands.
The applicant should submit all required documents during the phase of Early Conditional Admission.
Applicant should achieve the following overall grades in the first semester of the 12th grade:

Admission Requirements for Students who graduated from high school
Applicant should be Qatari citizen, a Qatari Citizen’s child, Qatari Travel document holders or wives of Qatari husbands.
The applicant should submit all required documents during the phase of Early Conditional Admission.

Admission Requirements for British Secondary School System and International Baccalaureate (IB) System
- British Secondary School System:
- Earned at least five IGCSE (O Level) subjects with a minimum grade of "E or 3" and a minimum of two subjects at the Advanced (A) or (AS) level or a combination of (A) and (AS) level subjects with a minimum grade of "E". Only one subject per language is accepted, and repetition of the same language is not permitted unless it is taken at different levels (AL, AS, IGCSE).
- As the official results for this school system will be released after QU has announced admission decisions, applicants may submit predicted grades in addition to official result certificates by the submission deadline. Applicants who submit predicted high school grades (pdf) will be considered for Provisional Admission.
- For the Scientific Track certification, 2 Science subjects (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and 1 Mathematics subject with minimum grade of "C or 4" are required.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) System:
- Completion of the full IB Diploma with at least 2 subjects at the HL and the other 4 subjects at SL level.
- The student should have attained a total grade point score of 24 out 42, excluding grades for Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Extended Essay.
- As the official results for this school system will be released after QU has announced admission decisions, applicants may submit predicted grades by the submission deadline. Applicants who submit predicted high school grades (pdf) will be considered for Provisional Admission.
- For Science Track certification, 2 Science courses (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and one Mathematics course with minimum grade of 3 (2 of these 3 subjects must be at the HL) and a minimum grade of 3 in the other three subjects.
Provisional Admission
As official results for the British Secondary School system (IGCSE, AS, and A-Level results) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) system will be released after QU has announced admission decisions, in-progress applicants from these two school systems will be considered for Provisional Admission based on predicted grades.

Provisional Admission Process
- Applicants from the British Secondary School and the International Baccalaureate systems must submit all application requirements by the admission application deadline admission application deadline and must submit their predicted grades by the admission application deadline submission deadline.
- Predicted grades must be reported and attested by the applicant’s high school using the appropriate QU provided form:
- Predicted IGCSE, AS, and A-Level Grades for Provisional Admission form
- Predicted International Baccalaureate Grades for Provisional Admission form
- Applicants from the British Secondary School system may complete the minimum admission requirements to be considered through submission of official results for all completed IGCSE, A/S and A-Level results and anticipated final grades for the examinations. All in-progress International Baccalaureate (IB) applicants will be considered for admission on their anticipated results.
- Using predicted grades, the Admissions Department will determine whether the applicant has satisfied Qatar University’s minimum admission requirements. Applicants with predicted grades are considered for admission in competition with all other applicants and applicants receiving Provisional Admission will be informed at the same time as all other admits.
- Upon receiving Provisional Admission, Applicants will be informed of the conditions of their provisional admission – essentially, their admission is based on anticipated grades, is conditional, and not final until official results are submitted.
- Graduates from other high school systems that issue final and official high school results after the submission deadline cannot be considered for admission and will be requested to apply for the coming semester admission instead.

Admission Checklist
For Students who are still in high school:
- Students have to upload a personal passport-size photograph and a copy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
- Applicants of Qatari parents, must upload a copy of the applicant's parent’s Qatari ID card and a copy of the birth certificate. Non-Qatari female students married to Qataris must also upload a copy of the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband (An electronic link will be sent to the applicants to upload the required documents of the Qatari parents or the Qatari husband).
Qatari Secondary School Certificate
As for students of Qatari government schools for the academic year 2024-2025, there is no need to submit their high school transcript; QU will receive the first semester of the 12th grade results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Private and International School Certificates:
- As for British system and International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools; Applicants should submit their predicted grades through the QU form in addition to submitting the original and official result certificates along with copies to check if it matches with the original documents submitted to Qatar University, before the deadline.
- As for students from other Private and International Schools; Applicants should submit a copy of the achieved results of the first semester of the 12th grade transcript to Qatar University, before the deadline.
Students have to submit required certificates by the following timing and locations:
- Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
- Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
For Students who graduated from high school:

High school transcript:

For students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated starting from 2016 onwards, they do not have to submit their high school transcript; QU will receive their results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
- Students from Private and International high schools, also students from Qatari Government and independent schools graduated in 2015 and earlier, have to submit original, final, official, and certified high school transcriptalong with copies to check if it matches the original documents, and attend in person to Qatar University before the deadline by the following timing and locations:
- Male: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C204, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
- Female: Student Affairs Building (I11) - First Floor, hall number C250, from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 12 pm.
Important Notes
Applicants who graduated from high school and submitted their final official transcript will receive a final decision, while applicants who are still in high school are required to satisfy all admission requirements and submit all other required admission documents including their official final and certified high school transcript before the submission deadline.
Early conditional admission is a provisional admission pending successful completion of the final year of high school and meeting the minimum requirements of "Early Conditional Admission" mentioned above, in addition to fulfilling the remaining admission requirements.
All applicants who do not satisfy the minimum requirements for "Early Conditional Admission" mentioned above will still be considered for regular admission upon submission of their final and official high school results and in accordance with the standard admission criteria.
Early Conditional Admission for Non-Qataris
Early Conditional Admission for Non-Qataris
It is an opportunity for non-Qatari students to study at Qatar University, provided that their admission is conditional and early, based on their academic records qualifying them to apply to specific colleges determined by the university. This admission is competitive among applicants and depends on the capacity of the colleges. Meeting the requirements for early conditional admission does not guarantee final admission. If accepted, the student is required to continue in the same college until graduation.
Eligible Students for Early Conditional Admission for Non-Qataris
Early conditional admission is available to all students residing in Qatar, in addition to citizens of GCC countries who have met the required academic qualifications, whether they are still in school or have completed their high school education in previous years.
Eligibility Requirements for Early Conditional Admission for Non-Qataris
- Submit all required documents during the early conditional admission application period.
- Achieve a minimum of 90% in the 12th grade (for students who have completed high school).
- Achieve a minimum of 90% in the first semester of the 12th grade (for students still in school).
- Meet the foundation program requirements for colleges that require the foundation program upon enrollment.
- If accepted, the student must continue in the same college until graduation.

- Attach an electronic copy of the personal photo, a valid Qatari ID card, and a copy of the passport through the online admission application before the specified deadline.

For Students Still in School:
Qatari Government Schools:
- For students in Qatari government high schools for the academic year 2024-2025, there is no need to submit the high school certificate, as the first semester results of the 12th grade will be received from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Private and International Schools:
- For the British Secondary School Certificate and International Baccalaureate (IB) systems: Students must submit predicted grades using the university form, in addition to submitting the original certificates and submitting copies for verification, and attend Qatar University before the application deadline.
- For students from other private and international schools, a copy of the first semester results of the 12th grade must be submitted to Qatar University before the application deadline.
For Students Who Have Completed High School:

Important Guidelines
- Students who submitted a copy of the first semester results of the 12th grade will receive conditional early admission, provided that this admission is conditional upon successfully completing the final year of high school, meeting the minimum requirements for early conditional admission mentioned above, and fulfilling all other admission requirements.
- Early conditional admission for non-Qataris is conditional on continuing in the same college until graduation.
- All applicants who did not qualify for early conditional admission or did not meet the minimum requirements still have the opportunity for admission upon submitting final and official results, in accordance with the standard admission procedures.
