One-on-One Consultations

One-on-one tutoring sessions and consultations help you improve your language skills, or discuss your term papers and assignments. To benefit from this service, please book an appointment through the booking system:

• For booking appointments, you can book through the appointment system. For booking instructions, please read Appointment System Instructions guideline.
• Students have the choice to attend the session in person or online via Microsoft Teams.
• For morning sessions, students can choose to attend their sessions in person in Student Affairs Building – I11 - first floor, or online through Microsoft Teams.
• If the student chooses to attend the session online:
• Choose a quiet place and a suitable computer/laptop (not a mobile phone).
• Kindly make sure to download the program ‘Microsoft Teams’ to your computer and access it using your QU credentials.
• The specialist will contact the student at the time of the session via Microsoft Teams.
• All assignments to be reviewed must be in a soft copy format.

Instructions for 1-on-1 Online Sessions

Missing a session

1. If you miss your first appointment, without canceling in advance, you will be considered a "no show".
2. If you miss a second appointment, without canceling in advance, you will receive the first warning.
3. If you miss the third appointment, without canceling in advance, you will receive the second warning; and you will not be allowed to make an appointment with the Writing Lab for one month.
4. If you miss the fourth appointment, you will receive the final warning; and you will not be allowed to make an appointment with the Writing Lab for an entire semester.
