Application Process
Please read the steps on how to apply.
All graduate applicants to Qatar University are required to apply to their intended program of study using the QU online admission application. Follow the steps below to complete the process:
| Complete the Online Application Form & Upload Required Documents Start my application Submit your Online Admission Application, fill in all required information, and upload the required documents. Once submitted, you will not be able to upload any additional documents. Important Note: - International students without a valid Qatar residency permit (excluding GCC citizens) must apply online for a student visa and submit the required documents within the same admission application period at Qatar University. - Applicants who do not meet visa requirements will not be considered for admission. - You may upload two confidential recommendation letters from professors or employers. | |
| Receive a Letter of Acknowledgment Within three business days, you will receive a letter of acknowledgment confirming the receipt of your application. | |
| Application Review Qatar University will review your application and make an admission decision. Please note that your application may be delayed or denied if any required documents are not uploaded. | |
| Interview If applicable, the graduate program will contact you via email or phone to inform you of the interview date and time. | |
| Submit Official Required Documents Once an admission decision is confirmed, you will be contacted to submit all official documents. The decision will depend on receiving original certificates and required documents by the specified admission deadlines. | |
| Receive Admission Decision Applicants will receive an official admission letter with the decision. Accepted students will also receive their QU ID and login details for accessing QU online resources. |
Pay Application Fee
All graduate applicants (Doctoral, Master, Diploma, PharmD, and Certificate) are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of QR 350 as part of their admission application. Admission applications will not be considered complete until the application fee is paid. An admission decision will only be made after the fee is submitted through the online admission application using Visa or MasterCard only.

Submit Required Documents
After receiving an Initial Admission Decision, you are required to submit:
- Final, official, and certified transcripts along with copies to verify they match the original documents.
- English test scores, if required for the program, and if you do not have an English waiver from your university.
- A Health Certificate issued in Qatar.
You can submit the documents in person to the Graduate Admissions Section or mail them to complete the admission process at Qatar University to the following address:

Check Admission Application Status
All applicants who have successfully completed the formal application procedures can track their application status to ensure that all requirements and documents are completed before the admission deadline.
- If your GPA doesn’t meet the requirement, the status will be Decision Made
- If there are any missing requirements, the status will be Incomplete Items; theadmission team will contact you by email to submit the missing requirement.
- If your application is fully submitted and your GPA meets the admission requirement, the status will show In Progress until the college starts holding interviews and making final decisions.

Receive Admission Letter
All admitted students will receive a formal admissions letter from Graduate Admissions Section at Qatar University. Your graduate program will also share details about orientation (if offered by your graduate program), academic advising, and course registration.
