Students and graduates can obtain various academic certificates through multiple convenient methods.

How to apply

Current students: From April 2025, students apply for certificates online through the Certificate Issuance Service rather than using student ID cards directly at machines. The process involves logging into the online system with your THERS account, selecting the certificate type, choosing a delivery method, and completing payment if required.

Graduates: Alumni must first register for a new account through the Certificate Issuance Service for graduates, then apply online. The certificate will be issued in the student’s name at the time of enrollment.

Available certificates

Current students: JR student discount certificates, student status certificates (Japanese/English), certificates of expected graduation/completion, academic transcripts (Japanese/English), health examination certificates, and certificates for previously attended courses.

Graduates: Degree certificates (Japanese/English) and academic transcripts (Japanese/English). Note that the university issues degree certificates instead of graduation/completion certificates, which include degree information and numbers.
