## Application

#### Exhibition Proposal Submission

Thank you for your interest in submitting an exhibition proposal to Tsinghua University Art Museum. To ensure the timely and thorough review of your proposal, please follow these submission guidelines.

##### General Requirements

The exhibition theme and contents shall be in conformity with laws and regulations of P. R. China as well as the mission of Tsinghua University Art Museum.

 

##### Required Materials

Please download and fill in the Submission Form, and provide an Exhibition Proposal that can fully explaining the curatorial and preparation plan of the exhibition, which should include the following:

- 1) Project background: including the exhibition premise and objective, theme and academic significance, background and demand analysis.
- 2) Exhibition positioning: including intended audience, exhibition style analysis, exhibition scale/area and expected impact.
- 3) Curatorial team: including the introduction of the curator(s), curatorial team members and responsibilities.
- 4) Exhibition contents: including exhibition title and sections, checklist of works, source and copyright issues of works, and intellectual property protection measures.
- 5) Display Proposal: including exhibition layout planning, display forms (such as objects, images, multimedia, etc.), and design of interactive elements.
- 6) Implementation plan: including organization and preparation mode, transportation and insurance plan, work schedule (including preparation, installation, opening, de-installation and other key time nodes).
- 7) Publicity and educational plan: including promotion strategies and objectives, publicity methods (such as Internet, newspapers, magazines, advertising, etc.), and educational plan.
- 8) Budget and funding: including the overall budget and funding plan, funding channels and implementation status, budget monitoring and adjustment mechanism. \* In principle, for the exhibitions that are not curated by our museum, you need to raise funds by yourself.
- 9) Supplementary information: provided according to actual needs.

##### Materials Submission

Material should be sent to: exhibition-tam@tsinghua.edu.cn, with the subject line the “Exhibition Proposal to TAM”.

##### Review Process

The museum staff and exhibition committee will review materials on an ongoing basis and may contact you if necessary. Review process generally takes 2-3 months, subject to the actual arrangement of Tsinghua University Art Museum.

\

In order to ensure sufficient preparation time, materials should be submitted no later than six months prior to the exhibition open date. For international exhibitions and exhibitions concerning exhibits custom clearance, materials should be submitted no later than twelve months prior to the exhibition open date.
