Sci-tech Novelty Search
Sci-tech novelty search is generally the official certificate required for project initiation and appraisal, award application, etc. The service is applicable to a specific research topic. Firstly the professional librarians conduct a comprehensive literature retrieval using various databases and methods.Then, perform a comparative analysis based on the searched results and research topic, usually in cooperation with the patrons. Finally they draw a conclusion about the “novelty” of the topic based on the previous process. The outcome submitted to the patron is a customized “novelty search report”, which includes all the information and statement of retrieval process, analysis on search results and novelty conclusion.
Founded in 1992, the Novelty Search Workstation of Tsinghua University is a novelty search institution approved by the State Education Commission of the PRC. It was certified by the Ministry of Education (MOE) as a “Novelty Search Workstation of the Ministry of Education” (No. L11) in 2003. So far, the Workstation has novelty search experts specialized inelectronics, automation, computer, machinery, mechanics, chemistry, environment,informatics and other related areas.

Time:
8:00-12:00, 13:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday during semester
9:00-12:00, 13:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday during holidays (online service)
