Hands-on experience across the globe

Clinical placements give you the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and enhance your practical skills.

Embedded throughout the course are structured Australian and international clinical experiences that allow you to experience different:

• health systems
• cultures
• clinical presentations.

A focus on patient centred care was emphasised throughout the degree, from my very first simulated clinical practice tutorial all the way through to my advanced clinical placements. Teaching provided through international hospitals also enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of global health issues and develop my cultural responsiveness.

Our Australian clinical learning environments include Macquarie University Health, the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), Northern Beaches Hospital  (NBH) and the MindSpot Clinic. Your international experience is predominately within the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, India.
