## Decoding life at the frontiers of biology

The Macquarie University Multi-omics Research Centre uses innovative technologies to deepen our understanding of complex biological systems and translate our findings to outcomes that will improve our health and wellbeing.

The goal of the centre is integrating multi-omics data for understanding complex biological systems, and involves genomics, transcriptomics, glycomics, proteomics and metabolomics.

Multi-Omics involves combining two (or more) Omics data sets during data analysis, visualization and interpretation, with the aim of elucidating the mechanism of a chosen biological process. However, the burgeoning panoply of approaches, tools and datasets can be intimidating and overwhelming for researchers new to the field.

The principal objective of the multi-omics research centre is to help overcome these restraints and move research forward into exciting new integrative areas.
