## UC Health Sciences Library

The
Health
Sciences Library (BCSUC)
was established on March 2, 2009,
as a
result of the merger between the Faculties of [Medicine](http://www.uc.pt/fmuc) and [Pharmacy](http://www.uc.pt/ffuc)
Libraries, with the objective of implementing a strategy to rationalize spaces
and
bibliographic
resources
at the University of Coimbra (UC).

The
Library's mission is to provide access to its documentary holdings to the
entire university community of Coimbra, and in particular, to professors,
researchers, and students of the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as
to the rest of the national and international scientific community.

Located
in the heart of the Health Sciences Campus of UC, BCSUC is a dynamic and
welcoming space that offers a wide range of physical and virtual resources and
services to the entire community.
