On March 27th , at 11.00am, Lisbon time, we welcome Doctor Amalia Dolga, who will be presenting “Targeting mitochondria and neuroinflammation in human models of neurodegeneration”.The seminar will be held at Auditorium 2, Student Hub,University of Coimbra and online. For online attendance, registration is mandatory through this link. Registered participants will receive the a link one day before the seminar.

Bio: Amalia Dolga is a Professor of Regenerative Neuropharmacology at the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Faculty of Medical Sciences at University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Her research lies at the intersection of neuroscience, pharmacology, and molecular biology, focusing on the mechanisms of neurodegeneration, particularly mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, and potassium channel signaling in brain cells. Prof. Dolga leads research aimed at understanding how neuronal damage occurs in neurodegenerative disorders and how pharmacological strategies can promote neuroprotection and brain regeneration
