Interdisciplinary research was always a target for me. Hence, coming to the EFS initiative helped me to fulfill my expectations. Here I found adequate and motivated supervisors - Professor Pedro Saraiva and Professor Fausto Freire. Additionally, University of Coimbra opens door to the scientific world, I have been researching at MIT - USA; University of Kissi - Kenya; University of California - Davis - USA, among others. Finally, with this opportunity, I started to have a dream to start a company, through the European Union's programs and also stimulated by the innovation environment in the campus.
