The Gulf Studies Group is a multidisciplinary group concerned with various research and studies in the Gulf region due to the existence of common links and similar features between the region, its history and destiny.
Mission:
- Giving importance to cultural, literary, historical and social studies in the Arab Gulf States.
- Supporting Gulf studies, and promoting interdisciplinary academic exchanges.
- develop, create and expand the research environment on studies of the Arab Gulf territory to be able to contribute and participate in international conversations that highlight issues related to the Arab Gulf countries, especially when those conversations are led by foreign parties .
Objectives:
- Study the common issues, themes and challenges of the Gulf Cooperation Council States.
- Preparation of a diverse and integrated Gulf encyclopedia in many areas.
- To identify research priorities in the GCC countries as a reference for postgraduate researchers by identifying priority research.
- Provide the necessary data and information to decision makers in the Gulf region that will help them in developing public policies in all areas in which this research group operates.
- To provide common data and statistics in all areas of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
