## Overview Details

Our Team operates in a collaborative spirit, on multiple focus areas, aiming at collectively achieving the
Facilities Management and Planning Departments' mission and objectives. The Focus areas are:

- Space Planning & Management
- Projects Implementation
- Operation & Maintenance
- Environmental, Health and Safety Management
- Energy Management and Sustainability

In addition, a Support Services unit functions across the focus areas, and supports various departmental internal
processes, such as logistical, financial, and quality control, as well as external processes, such as to the
Faculty Housing Committee on the availability and maintenance of the Housing facilities.

**Some of the key projects recently completed by FMPD:**

- The Age Friendly City Sharjah Program
- Improve the existing systems to support the people with disabilities.
- Development of Kalba University
- Medical Library (M26)
- New center for the Francophonie center
- New center for the Research Institute for Humanities & Social Sciences (RIHSS)
- College of Fine Arts and Design Library
- The enclosed and new air-conditioned corridors project connecting all University building
- Multi-Story Building Parking P1, P2, P3.
- Men's and women's dining halls
- Mens and Womens forum buildings
- New dental clinic at M28- UDHS
- M3A Graduate study building
- Development of Khorfakan University
- Al Zahrawi playground
- Improve the dormitories experience (M33C)
