Department Overview
The Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Muslim and Arab Sciences (SIFHAMS), established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, is a pivotal initiative aimed at preserving and promoting the rich scientific heritage of the Arab and Muslim world. SIFHAMS seeks to elevate the legacy of Muslim scientists by documenting, verifying, and disseminating their contributions to modern science and technology. Through research, preservation, and international collaboration, the foundation aims to restore recognition to the significant role of Arab and Muslim scholars in the advancement of global knowledge. By creating a hub for dialogue and cultural exchange, SIFHAMS aspires to integrate this historical legacy into contemporary education and foster a deeper understanding of its impact on today's scientific and technological advancements.
