## Why Public Policy?

The University of Sharjah's College of Public Policy is a shining example of
high-quality public policy education, committed to developing Emirati leaders with the skills and
perspectives required for international relations, governance, and policy analysis. The college,
which has three prestigious departments—Political Science, Public Policy, and International
Relations—offers specialized degrees that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and give
thorough insights.

With a
Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in International Relations, the Department of International
Relations trains students for careers in diplomacy and global governance. The Department of
Political Science offers in-depth knowledge of political systems and government and is in the
process of creating a Bachelor of Arts degree. The Department of Public Policy offers a Master
of Public Policy program that prepares students to address social issues with evidence-based
solutions.

Through collaborations with governmental agencies, foreign organizations,
and civil society, the college fosters rigorous research, policy analysis, and innovation. In
addition to assisting regional stakeholders, the Public Policy Research Hub advances global
research. The college wants to have a beneficial influence on environmental sustainability, economic
diversification, and governance in line with the UAE's commitment to the Sustainable Development
Goals of the UN.

With cutting-edge facilities,
committed staff, and creative courses, the institution guarantees that students get transformative
education that equips them for leadership roles. Students apply what they learn in the classroom to
