Department Overview
The Community Cooperation Office serves as a vital link between the University of Sharjah and the community, playing a central role in strengthening sustainable collaboration with various sectors of society. The office aims to open effective channels of communication and build strategic partnerships with individuals and institutions across the country, in support of the University’s mission in education, scientific research, and community service.
The office focuses on developing institutional collaborations (memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements) by supporting joint initiatives, research projects, training programs, applied learning, employment opportunities, and participation in academic and community activities that contribute to knowledge exchange and capacity building. The office is also responsible for attracting and managing collaborations with various entities and institutions, thereby enhancing the implementation of projects and initiatives that serve the objectives of the University and its colleges.
In addition, the Community Cooperation Office oversees the establishment and management of advisory boards for colleges and academic departments, with the aim of benefiting from the expertise of specialists and decision-makers in the community. These advisory insights are utilized to support academic and research development and to enhance the alignment of educational outcomes with the needs of society and the labor market.
