Introduction to the Undergraduate Program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (for International Students)

Chinese Language and Culture College of Beijing Normal University will start the Undergraduate Program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (for International Students) at ZhuHai Campus in 2021.

This program aims to cultivate international, compound and practical talents in Chinese language education who should master the knowledge of Chinese ontology and Chinese culture have some knowledge of education and educational psychology, be possessed of basic quality as a Chinese teacher, be familiar with teaching methods of teaching Chinese as a second language and will be able to teach Chinese overseas or use Chinese to do other related work.

This project demands at least 139 credits.

Major courses include:

Intermediate Spoken Chinese, Intermediate Chinese Reading and Writing, Intermediate Chinese Listening, Intermediate Chinese Writing, Advanced Chinese, News Listening, Chinese Culture, Guidance to Chinese Modern and Contemporary Classics, Comparison of Chinese and Foreign Cultures, Modern Chinese, Ancient Chinese, General Theory of Chinese Teaching, Observation and Practice of Classroom Teaching.

VIII. Graduation and Degrees

The requirement of dissertation and graduation:

Complete the required credits and compulsory process.

Write a bachelor's degree thesis which should meet the degree standard of Beijing Normal University.
