This talk will explore the future of smart grids and the integration of renewable energy sources. It will focus on the promising potential of digital twins and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the operations and control of modern power systems.

The discussion will cover the transformation of traditional power systems into intelligent, distributed, and flexible architectures, enabling the secure flow of power from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. It will also deconstruct the complexities of smart grid operations, including dealing with variable power sources, bidirectional power flows, and the integration of electric vehicles and energy storage.
