# Biology (BIOL)

**BIOL 101**  **Biology**  **3 Credits**

This course, offered by the College of Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University will serve as an introduction to the fundamental principles of biology, with a specialized focus on biochemistry and molecular biology tailored for undergraduate engineering students. The students will explore the intricate biochemical processes and molecular mechanisms that underpin biological systems and will cover essential topics such as biomolecules, enzyme kinetics, metabolism, cellular signaling, and genetic regulation. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the structure-function relationships of biomolecules and the dynamic interactions within cells and organisms.
