# From Khartoum to the World

As part of the Visionary Leaders Program, this lecture explores the remarkable life and legacy of Dr. Malik Badri, the Sudanese pioneer of modern Islamic psychology. Drawing on their rich scholarship and professional experience, Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Zain and Dr. Hooman Keshavarzi will trace his journey from Sudan to the global stage, showcasing how he challenged dominant Western models, restored the spiritual heart of psychology, and turned his scholarship into a vocation of service and healing. Through key stories, critical turning points, and reflections on Dr. Badri’s major works, the lecture will highlight what it means to lead with faith, intellectual courage, and ethical responsibility. The conversation, moderated by Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail Elamin, will invite participants to consider how Dr. Badri’s example can inspire a new generation of visionary Muslim leaders.
