Reducing Food and Agricultural Waste
02Oct 2024
This webinar will highlight innovative solutions for reducing food and agricultural waste, with a focus on sustainability and agricultural enhancement. The session will cover two key areas:
- First, the transformation of various types of food waste into biochars through thermal pyrolysis. During which speakers will explore the pyrolysis process, the properties of the biochars produced, and their positive impact on agriculture, including soil enhancement, improved water retention, and increased plant growth.
- Second, the Innovative Biorefinery Processes for sustainable agriculture, detailing how agricultural waste—such as vegetable residues and animal manure—is converted into microbial protein. Using yeast and methanotroph fermentation technologies, these processes create protein-rich animal feed, contributing to food security while reducing environmental waste.
