News on Applications for Winter Semester 2026/27

The application period for the MSc in Money, Macro and Finance has changed.\ Applications open on January 2, with three submission deadlines: January 31, March 31, and May 15, 2026.\ Early applications are strongly encouraged.

Admission and Requirements

Admission to the Master’s Program in Money, Macro and Finance takes place on an annual basis, with the program starting in October. Applications must be submitted in due time and form. Please read the following information carefully, as incomplete applications will be excluded from the selection procedure.\ \ Important: Applicants should hold, or expect to hold by the time of enrollment, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a closely quantitative related field.

Application period: Applications open on January 2 and may be submitted by one of the following deadlines: January 31, March 31, and May 15 (final deadline).

Application must be submitted via the uni-assist online portal.

Application/Admissions Process and Deadlines

January 31

Top applicants in stage one can expect to receive positive feedback within four to six weeks after the deadline. All other applications from this stage will be considered in stage three, after the final deadline (May 15).

March 31

Top applicants in stage two can expect to receive positive feedback within four to six weeks after the deadline. All other applications from this stage will be considered in stage three, after the final deadline (May 15).

May 15

In stage three, all applications received will be reviewed, and applicants will receive a positive or negative update within four to six weeks.

We strongly encourage applicants to submit their application dossier in the early stages. At the time of application, students must have completed at least 80% of the credit points required for graduation in their program (see section Required Documents – Degree Certificates and Transcripts).

The admission score is composed of the following criteria:

Average Bachelor's Degree (final or preliminary) 51%
Quantitative Skills 19%
Motivation Letter 15%
Reference Letter 15%

Proof of English Language Proficiency

Proof of English language proficiency to be rendered by either of the following:

Proof of those results (scan copy / pdf) must also be uploaded with your online application via uni-assist, else your scores will not be considered.

If your Bachelor degree program’s sole language of instruction was English, you are exempted from submitting a language certificate. Instead, please provide proof of your English proficiency by uploading a document confirming the language of instruction of your Bachelor program issued by your university.

Assessment of Quantitative Skills

The admissions committee evaluates your quantitative skills based on the following:

Motivational Letter

Please provide a motivational letter explaining your interest in the Master’s Program in Money, Macro and Finance. The letter must be written in English and must not exceed 750 words.

Recommendation Letter

Please provide one recommendation letter written in English by a professor or another qualified person. This letter can be submitted in one of the following ways:

Important: Before uploading the completed PDF to uni-assist, please rename the file by replacing “nameofapplicant”with your full name and “masterprogram” with “MMF”.

APS Certificate

Applicants who obtained their Bachelor’s degree in China, Vietnam, or India must provide the original APS certificate.

You may include other documents to support your application, such as a curriculum vitae, references from previous employment or internships, or proof of scholarships awarded.
