New Deans at the Faculty of Economics and Business

At the start of the winter semester 2025/2026, a new team of Deans will take over the management of the second largest Faculty at Goethe University: Guido Friebel is the new Dean, replacing Christian Schlag as well as acting Deputy Dean of Research. The Faculty Council also elected Andreas Hackethal as Uwe Walz's successor as Academic Dean and Katharina Hombach as Deputy Dean for Finance, succeeding Holger Kraft. Lars Pilz was confirmed in his role as Deputy Dean for Study Matters.

The Faculty of Economics and Business would like to thank the previous team of Deans for their many years of dedicated service. It wishes the new team of Deans a good start and successful cooperation with the Executive Board, the student body and the other faculties.
