Spanish

There are a total of four separate Economic Spanish courses (A-B-C-D) within the scope of the Economic Spanish credit-point courses.  Only one course (A or B or C or D) is offered on a rotating basis each semester.

The target of this course corresponds to level C1.1 according to the Common European Reference Framework on Languages (CEFR).

SBCD: Current topics of the economy and politics of Spain and Latin America (SS 2026)

Topics:\ Introduction to the socio-economic and cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries\ Introduction to intercultural competence through the analysis of cultural differences\ Development of intercultural competence through the analysis of cultural differences\ Development of specialist linguistic competence in economic policy\ Development of specialist vocabulary in economic policy

SBCA: Banking and Finance (WS 2026/27)

Topics:\ Savings and investment. The Spanish bank and finance\ Banks and their economic and political function\ Central banks. The European Central Bank\ Latin American banks and finance\ The World Bank and international credit institutions\ Currency\ The financial system, the stock market, bonds\ International money transfer\ Microfinance

SBCB: The Workplace: Practical and Social Aspects (SS 2027)

Topics:\ The company, characteristics\ Job hunting: applications and interviews\ Job contracts\ Trade unions and companies\ Economic migration

SBCC: Advertising and Marketing – Linguistic and cultural aspects (WS 2027/28)

Topics:\ Development of a marketing plan\ Social, political and economic environment of a company\ Target audience\ SWOT-analysis\ Advertising: cultural and intercultural analysis

Successful completion of a portfolio without a written test in the central examination phase. The portfolio elements are completed during the course. The type and scope of the individual portfolio elements will be announced at the beginning of the course.

Credit points: All participants receive 6 credit points upon the successful completion of the economic Spanish credit-point courses: Spanish for Economists.

For each passed exam, an internal C1.1 certificate is awarded.
