On this website you will find information on the repeatability of examinations and participation requirements for retake examinations.

Repeatability of Semi Elective Courses (Bachelor)

Students of the Bachelor's degree programmes "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" and "Wirtschaftspädagogik" PO 2009 & PO 2022) please note the repeatability of electives (WPM) with regard to the final failure of the Bachelor's examination. Detailed information can be found here (only available in German).

Retake Exams in the Same Semester (2nd dates)

A. Bachelor of Science: Orientation Modules

OWIN, OVWL, OACC, OMAR, OFIN, OPPE, OMIK:\ Only students of the Bachelor's degree programmes "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" and "Wirtschaftspädagogik" of the PO 2009 & PO 2022 as from the 3rd semester who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts to complete the orientation phase and who can successfully complete the orientation phase by taking the retake exam(s) (2nd date in the same semester) may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date in the same semester). Whether the 1st date in the same semester was registered is not relevant.

OSTA & OMAT:\ Only students of the Bachelor's degree programmes "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" and "Wirtschaftspädagogik" of the PO 2009 & PO 2022 as from the 3rd semester who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts to complete the orientation phase and who can successfully complete the orientation phase by taking the retake exam(s) (2nd date in the same semester) may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date in the same semester). Whether the 1st date in the same semester was registered is not relevant. Exception: If students of the Bachelor's degree programmes "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" and "Wirtschaftspädagogik" of the PO 2009 & PO 2022 only lack either OMAT or OSTA for the successful completion of the orientation phase, they may register for and take the 2nd date OMAT or OSTA in the same semester already before the 3rd semester.

OREC:\ Only students of the Bachelor's degree programme "Wirtschaftswissenschaften" of the PO 2009 & PO 2022 as from the 3rd semester who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts to complete the orientation phase and who can successfully complete the orientation phase by taking the retake exam (2nd date in the same semester) may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date in the same semester). Whether the 1st date in the same semester was registered is not relevant.

OWIP:\ Only students of the Bachelor's degree programme "Wirtschaftspädagogik" of the PO 2009 & PO 2022 as from the 3rd semester who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts to complete the orientation phase and who can successfully complete the orientation phase by taking the retake exam (2nd date in the same semester) may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date in the same semester). Whether the 1st date in the same semester was registered is not relevant.

B. Bachelor of Science: Qualification Modules / Advanced Modules

Only P-Modules, WPM and Seminars:\ Only students who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts and who have not passed for whatever reason or were excused absent in the 1st date of the same semester may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date in the same semester). In case of seminars and WPM with termin paper, registration for the 2nd date is in addition only possible, if students have regularly attended the course.\ Exceptions: For PMAR, WPME_EOEK and B-Modules, there is no 2nd date in the same semester. For OWIP and OREC in the qualification phase, the requirements under point "A. Bachelor of Science: Orientation Modules" apply.

C. Master of Science

Only students who have not yet exhausted all retake attempts and who have not passed for whatever reason or were excused absent in the 1st date may register for and take the respective retake exam (2nd date). In case of seminars and WPM with term paper, registration for the 2nd date is in addtion only possible, if students have regularly attended the course.

Exceptions: When registering for FECO, FMIC, FMAC, CMAP, FOEP, FINE and CFVA as a fundamenatal module for students of the Master's degree programmes ‘Money and Finance’, ‘International Economics and Economic Policy’ and ‘Money, Macro and Finance’, it is not relevant whether the 1st date has been registered. For Thesis Seminar, PEU1 and PEU2, SPÜ1 and SPÜ2 as well as WLLF, there is no 2nd date in the same semester.

The examination form of the 2nd date may differ from the original form and will be announced on the website in due time.

Other students are not allowed to register for these retake examinations (2nd date in the same semester).

Registration deadlines and exam date of the retake examinations (2nd date in the same semester) can be found in the examination date overview of the respective semester.\ Please also note:

Passed exams cannot be retaken.
Each registered exam date counts as attempt.
For electives (WPM), please note the repeatability with regard to the final failure of the Bachelor's examination.
