The aims of these courses are:

We offer three levels:

1 – Fondation

2 – Consolidation

3 – Avancé

The Business French 1 – Fondation course has the target level B1.2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Previous knowledge\ Completion of level A2/B1 (CEFR) or 30 – 50 points in the placement test.

Placement test\ We recommend that you take the placement test before enrolling to ensure that you are placed in the right course. Here is the placement test for French.

Course content\ In the Business French 1 – Fondation course you will learn vocabulary and expressions specifically for the business world. On the one hand, you will gain extensive knowledge of the French language, and on the other, you will gain insights into the country, its society and topics pertaining to its business life, such as entrepreneurship, marketing strategies, and economic trends. A variety of exercises are also designed to promote linguistic and conceptual understanding of current topics and to lay the foundation for discussions and written exercises on various business topics.

The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 20.

Topics\ Unit 1 – Consumption behaviour                \ Unit 2 – Structure of a Company                 \ Unit 3 – Financing a project

Course material\ All the students in the Business language programme will receive the course material with specially designed exercises and a variety of selected economic texts.

Evaluation\ Oral participation and presentation, written exam in the last week of the lecture. A graded certificate is awarded to those who pass the exams.

Course fees and dates\ WFR1 Fondation (13 double lessons, incl. final exam): 90 Euro. Dates and Rooms: See LSF!

Previous knowledge\ Completion of level B2.1 (CEFR) or min. 75 points in the placement test.
