Program Profile
- Students enrolled in overseas partner institutions (with valid student exchange agreements) who wish to take courses at NYCU, and are nominated by their home institutions.

- Inbound Visiting (self-funded exchange) Program:
- Students from non-partner institutions or were not nominated by their home institutions.
- Students need to pay the tuition fee.
Application Instructions

- Nomination links will be provided to partner coordinators at the opening of each round. Nominated students will later receive an application link for online application.
- For 2026 Fall visitingprogram(self-funded exchange), application period is from March 15 to April 15, please apply through the link.

Application Documents
- Application form: Both the applicant and the home university coordinator need to sign on the last page.
- Passport information page: valid for at least 6 months.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English
- Study Plan (sample)
- Official Transcripts in English or Chinese
- Latest enrollment letter from the home institution or a student card with an expiry date
- Recommendation Letter from the home institution (optional)
- Other supporting documents (optional)

- The list of English-taught courses will be available 2 months ahead of each semester's start. NYCU Academic Calendar
- English-taught courses (2026 Spring Semester); English-taught courses (2025 Fall Semester)
- Chinese Language Course: 2026 Spring Semester, 2025 Fall Semester
- NYCU Course Timetable could be used for searching course details & syllabi.
- Minimum credit load (per semester): 9 credits for undergraduate students / 2 courses for graduate students
- Students are free to register for courses at the entire university, regardless of departments and campuses. NYCU Campus Maps
- *The instructors reserve the authority to decline the students due to unfulfilled lecture prerequisites or limited teaching capacities.
Admission
- Admission results will be announced on the application system, students must log in and click for admission confirmation before a certain confirmation deadline (announced by the NYCU coordinator).
- A soft copy admission letter will be provided to the partner institution coordinators via email.
- Division of Overseas Student Affairs will email the "Welcome Package" to admitted students in which registration, arrival information, and dormitory application are contained.
- The onsite orientation and student physical check-up happen a week before or the first week of each semester. The exact schedule will be provided in the Welcome Package.
